About Us

A Message from our President and CEO

When we first imagined WHITECOAT Strategies, we made an important discovery: We couldn’t find a single, comprehensive communications firm devoted entirely to science that combined strategic public relations with the in-house tools of high-definition video production and social media. We cannot claim to be as brilliant as the scientists and science companies and organizations we serve, but we are smart enough to know that when it comes to influencing stakeholder audiences for our clients, “seeing is believing” – especially when it comes to the amazing stories of science and biotechnology.

So we assembled an inspired team of experienced communications and creative production professionals – many with advanced degrees in biology and chemistry – and charged ourselves with the mission of putting life and passion into science. Our collective conviction – our ethos – is that in order for policy-makers, investors and the public to fully embrace science, they have to connect real science with real benefits. This thinking has resulted in award winning campaigns that combine compelling personal stories with high quality 3-D visual animation.

We also embrace an important truth: Our real mission is to effectively use these tools to change minds and influence opinions. This is why our successful media outreach campaigns and social media efforts include purposeful communications plans that embed video into press releases, drive eyeballs to Internet sites and create positive branding buzz.

To us, science and scientific discovery is a never-ending journey to improve the human condition. Today, it is often the astonishing work of biotechnology companies that deliver vaccines and cures for diseases, provide advanced methods of feeding the planet or create alternative ways to meet our worldwide energy needs. Our clients put us to work on a wide range of strategic assignments. Stamping a positive brand on their companies and organizations, assisting with clinical trials, marketing a new or existing product, promoting a patient advocacy group, managing sensitive public issues or improving investor and member relations are at the heart – and passion – of our firm.

If you want to “put more life in your science,” we invite you to review our Web site and contact us.
